
Meet Onyer – This mischievous and playful young orangutan is known to be the most dedicated in his group and never skips Forest School!
Onyer is in Forest School at Nyaru Menteng after being rescued at the age of 10 months and was found to be in good health. Onyer started off being very nervous but has grown to be a very playful, intelligent and dedicated orangutan.

Onyer usually sets off to Forest School with his best friends Jeni and Aiko, who are similar sized orangutans. He will often join them climbing trees and helping Aiko build nests.

He frequently arrives at school drenched and covered in mud after playing in puddles.

Onyer is a very gentle young orangutan and loves to play. He enjoys swinging on large branches and occasionally gets mischievous by snatching fruit from the lanjung (fruit basket).
