Thanks to a generous grant from Asia Wild, 16 sun bears in the care of the BOS Foundation have received funding for their care for one year!
For those sun bears, $60,000 goes a long way. These animals need ongoing care through food, medical attention, enclosures, and support. Since the sun bears are permanently cared for by the BOS Foundation and cannot be released to the wild, those expenses add up very quickly!
The grant is being put to immediate use for the ongoing care of 16 rescued sun bears in Samboja Lestari, Indonesia for all of 2024. This money will fully fund the BOS Foundation resources needed to look after these sun bears including their daily care, shelter upkeep, enrichment, supplements, and more.
BOS-USA is grateful to Asia Wild for this generous grant providing much-needed support that equates to care for 16 of the 75 sun bears in the BOS Foundation’s care, offering much-needed relief for the year ahead.
